Let me tell you what, my students had a whole lot to say about the outside. By the time they were greeted, sat, and cared for immediately at 8 pm on a Friday, no one cared what the outside looked like. The food was 10/10 all around, not one student had anything bad they could say about their meal.

Great local restaurant. Food was fresh, tasty, and generous portions. My oyster connoisseur husband said they were fresh and fried perfectly. My Fraisers Connection sandwich was the best I've had in a long time.

Hidden gem. I was iffy about making a review for this place because I don't want it to get swarm, but it would be a shame not to share. So, this is my second time coming back for the red beans and rice, with an order of smoked sausages. I think it is the best from all that I have tried in my life. Not to salty, not to bland, but perfected to my taste. They have a great selection of typical Nola dishes as well, and is worth the try in my opinion. If I have visitors from out-of-state, this place would be one of the stop we have to make. What to try: Red Beans and rice, with smoked sausages

Finally a cook worth kissing!!!!! When i tell you it was absolutely delicious. Ive been eating here for almost 20 years on and off and honestly it used to be hit or miss. So it really has been some years since we've gotten take out from here. This is my 3rd recent order and i have to give credit where its due. I would love to let the owner know that he's got great cooks! I mean people who took pride in their work and waitresses who double check your order and get it just right. And from the order ticket, to the kitchen and then the bag, it was truly delicious. Finally someone who can fry chicken better than me and better than my mama. Now thats a true compliment. My new favorite place. They followed my order to the letter! Update:11/8/24 same review. Delicious food, great service, all hot and incredible!!! We loved it. Best poboy on the westbank, HANDS DOWN! Update 2/7/25 same great review! I wish all the people here for the super bowl knew that the best poboy is on the best bank! Someone please tell em!!!!!
